Memphis’ own Keenya Creates captivates as a singer, rapper, storyteller & musician. Her music is a savory blend of soul and hip-hop, slow-simmered in folk traditions and served with love. Her upcoming EP, Sankofa Wings, tells a story of coming home to oneself. Each song reflects the past and present, juxtaposed with her ambitious goal of creating a more vibrant future. The project features contributions from seasoned Memphis artists/producers Rowdy Productionz, Woodberry, & SlimPro.
With this new offering, Keenya aims to provide a bumpin soundtrack for others on their own journey of healing and self-reclamation. She also continues the legacy of hip-hop culture as a means to elevate and entertain.
